Without a doubt, there were alot of shows to do in 2011, so picking the best was difficult. Many were some amazing local bands like Maxi Wild and The Bixby Knolls while others were more nostalgia reunions like Buffalo Tom and Loudness. I’m sure I even missed good shows without even knowing about it or forgetting to attend as there’s only so many to see.
However, The Cure and their “Reflections” show that featured their first 3 albums in order (including b-sides and one-off singles) was one of my all time favorites. They sounded perfect and even though the albums were released more than 30 years ago, Robert Smith sounded amazing with a tight backup band of as many original members as possible. I’m so glad I spent the $$ for the tickets.
I still have to buy any concert ticket for an upcoming 2012 show. I hope something comes through soon.
